In case you haven’t found a UK artist named Barmy Chip Witch, well, here’s a quick introduction. The artist is currently in a long-term relationship, and through her funny and actionable comics, she’s trying to share her passion for art with the rest of the world! She mostly creates webcomics on Instagram in hopes of sharing her experience of what it’s like to be in a relationship with others. The Barmy Chip Witch comics, although they mostly include their boyfriend, revolve around their cat, who occasionally steps in to make some situations more comedic.
In a previous interview with Bored Panda, the artist shared a little bit about her artistic journey, herself, and her relationship.
“I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember, but I started drawing comics about my silly bio in magazines about 10 years ago. It was a bit like my own diary. Then my boyfriend looked through it and started teasing me to start Instagram, especially since I was slowly learning how to Drawing digitally at this time.I think what inspires me most about these comics – apart from the silly and funny things that happen to me – are those little everyday moments in life that I don’t want to forget that it’s so easy.

This time, Bored Panda reaches out to Barmy Chip Witch with some new questions. First, we wanted to know if the artist might have been working on some new series or maybe something similar.
“I have a lot of ready-made ‘slice of life’ comics and ‘couple of comics’ on Instagram, so they’re going to continue as usual, and there’s always more on the way as I use real-life things that happen in our lives to use as inspiration and motivators. Excitingly, my friend and I We’re also making themed sticker sheets (so far featuring themes inspired by Boyfriend’s love of mushrooms, butts, self-care, and our cat) that will be featured in my stories soon. They make me incredibly happy, and I enjoy gluing Boyfriends cartoon butts to the stuff!

We also wanted to know if the artist had a comic she was proud of, and we thought it was only fair for her to share her thoughts with us!
“My favorite comedy is the one currently on Patreon only, but it’s a longer style of comedy about him as a Latvian boy taking the bus. On Instagram, one of my favorite things is where I wake up from a nightmare and skip that my boyfriend is still sleeping peacefully. I love the colors and the expressions in that. “

When it comes to people who have opinions about his comics, here’s what Barmy Chip Witch hopes to achieve with her work, “I would like people to get away from my comics a little bit of good sense, nonsense and some solidarity. I love to laugh at how silly life can be and feel I like to try to immortalize the little bullshit moments that make me laugh, or that I want to remember, with an extra dose of absurdity sometimes thrown in. Then, maybe someone else can handle it and feel connected in a big, stressful world.
