It’s been a while, but with a handful of crazy new stories, everyone’s favorite comic book couple, Pixie and Brutus, are finally back. People just can’t seem to get enough of author Ben Hed’s comics. Since we last featured his comic back in May, he has garnered over 300,000 followers on Instagram.
Ben said in his previous interviews that Pixie and Brutus was nothing more than a wild comic idea at first that he had at work and that he never intended to make it into a series. Well, we’re glad he did! Actually, we’re not the only ones who are happy: some fans of the couple can’t get enough of comics and have even started making their own! The artist spoke to Bored Panda in two previous interviews about his work, his inspiration for the cartoon, as well as his dreams, hopes and ambitions for the future.
Pixie is a cute, happy, energetic kitten. “The artist Ben told Bored Panda during one of the interviews, “She is innocent, and yet somewhat oblivious to the extreme, dangerous stuff around her. Brutus, on the other hand, is a tall, scar-faced German Shepherd. After retiring as a Working Dog, he was adopted by Pixie’s owner (MWD). Brutus is the very opposite of Pixie, in several respects. He’s… seen things. He’s a very stern and intimidating dog, but he’s got Pixie’s soft spot and he’s doing what he can to protect her from the harsh realities of the world around him.
