Ben’s Pet Foolery’s Instagram page has a huge audience of 2.5 million followers, which is incredible considering that the artist originally did not intend to turn it into a series. Today, Pixie and Brutus have a huge fan base online and Ben needs to keep his comic book series efficient and appealing from the first day he released the comics.
However, this does not mean that creating new ideas for his ongoing comedy series is easy. “With animal comics about repetitive characters and a constant story (i.e. Pixie and Brutus), I find it becoming increasingly difficult to come up with new ideas and jokes,” he told us earlier in a post. interview.

On the other hand, the creator of Pet Foolery is always preparing something new and exciting, so we turned to him to see what he has been busy working on.
“I’m still working on the graphic novel Pixie and Brutus! I’m much closer to the end now, of course. In the near future it should be placed on a people funding page (maybe Kickstarter), “Ben told us and added that he is very excited about it. When asked if there are any new characters introduced in the comic, Ben said that recently he introduced a Belgian Malinois character named Dexter. “He and Brutus are developing a kind of friendly relationship,” he explained.
We also wondered if the characters change over time, and this is what the creator had to say: “Designs are the thing that has changed the most, but even their characters have evolved a bit.”

“I have never really included current events in any of my comics,” Ben told us some time ago. “It’s not a conscious decision, it just does not happen naturally to me. “Maybe if my comics were more about humans and less about cats and dogs, then it would be different.”

When it comes to the adventures of Pixie and Brutus, Ben says it’s really all he thinks. “Of course, comics Pixie and Brutus are not the only comic ideas that come to my mind. “Sometimes I think of a joke or story that doesn’t match P and B, so I do it using other recurring characters or even completely new characters,” Ben explained.
