We all grew up watching Tom & Jerry or Popeye and it’s no exaggeration to say that these cartoons were some of the greatest parts of our childhood. However, do you guys know who is the genius behind these lovely cartoon shows? Probably only a few knew him – Eugene Merrill Deitch, aka Jane Deitch, an American painter, film director and cartoonist.
But let us tell you the bad news that we have lost this legend. After a period of dedication to art, he passed away on April 16, 2020, at the age of 95. Since noticing his death, artists around the world have pushed the legendary animator homepage by sharing their influential artwork on the internet. In addition, through them, the artists also want to thank him for creating their wonderful childhood. Rest in peace Jane Deitch.
