Dogs Love Bacon is a comedy about life with two rescue dogs: a Pomeranian and a kojak (Corgi-Jack Russel mix). The comic started at the end of 2020 to make people smile, as I wrote in my previous post on Bored Panda.
As the adventures continue and my dog continues to add spice and fun to my life, I want to share some new comics I’ve made.

My comic begins as an idea that is hastily drawn on a scrap of paper with simplified shapes. I try to do it as soon as I get an idea because I can lose it just as quickly. Having the basic idea is the most important part of the process for me because I can’t move forward without it. As a result, my pocket is always filled with scraps of paper and ideas.
Using the storyboard, I will draw the comics in graphite blue, then ink it with micron pens. After scanning graphite, I can scan images in Photoshop for cleanup, color, and text. While I can draw on my tablet, I’ve always preferred the texture of paper.
I usually play video games on my iPad next to me while I’m building. The music is great at keeping me excited, and a quick glance at the graphics is enough to put my eyes off. It also helps with my time management, as I love video games, but I don’t have time to play them all.
