Pixie and Brutus is one of those webcomics that makes people smile no matter how bad their day has been. Ben Hed, the artist who created them, already has 2.4 million followers on Instagram, and these two adorable little animals are one of the reasons.
Ben, on the other hand, doesn’t feel any additional stress now that he has a devoted following. “I am concerned about how each comic would turn out, but I was concerned about that before I did Pixie and Brutus. I keep looking for ways to improve. Now I’m working on getting Pixie and Brutus stuffed animals; I’m not sure when they will be available, but I’m looking forward to seeing them.
Ben has recently worked as a full-time illustrator. “I don’t see much light, hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, I used to work a lot outside when it was under construction, but now I spend my days in my office, which is dark and has no windows because there are no reflections on the computer. Just kidding … well, it’s true, but I don’t want it to sound like you regret changing jobs, because you don’t. I enjoy drawing and am a huge fan of cartoons.

Pixie is a small, happy, and active kitten, an innocent little ball of fur who is unaware of the danger he is in. Brutus, on the other hand, is a massive, scarred German Shepherd. After Brutus retired from his military aid work, Pixie’s owner adopted him. Pixie is the polar opposite of this. “He’s stern and scary, but he cares for Pixie and does all he can to protect her. “He’s very serious and intimidating, but he has a soft spot for Pixie and does what he can to protect him from the harsh reality of the world around them.
