I think most of us would fully agree that not only can cats make loving and cute pets, but they are also incredibly complex creatures that are sometimes difficult to understand. In an effort to understand their behavior and share the hilarious facts of owning one, Russian artist Lingfestov has created hilarious web comics that perfectly encapsulate what it means to own a cat. Because one thing is for sure, when you have a cat, there is never a dull day in your life (besides the times your cats sleep, that is).

First, we asked the artist if they had any major influences in their lives that might have helped them develop and refine their style.
I’ve always been a fan of French painters. The biggest influence for me was Jean-Jacques Sempy. The first time I realized the power of illustration was when I discovered his books while traveling around France. I was never very good with words (despite his major in English linguistics) , so when I saw how he could tell a story without words but only graphics, it was amazing!
