POV: Shark Attack – A Short Horror Story
The ocean was calm, the sun glistening off the surface like a sheet of glass. You swim further out, feeling the gentle waves push and pull around you. The beach is just a distant blur now, the laughter of people fading into nothing but the sound of water lapping against your ears.
Then—something changes.
A shadow moves beneath you.
At first, it could be anything—a school of fish, a trick of the light. But then, the water shifts unnaturally, a dark mass circling just below. Your heart pounds as a sudden, eerie silence settles in. The ocean is too still.
Then it happens.
A force slams into you from below, sending you flying upward before crashing back into the water. The pain is instant, sharp, unbearable. You struggle, kicking, screaming, but the sea muffles your cries. The world around you turns red.
Adrenaline surges through your veins as you fight to stay afloat, but the pull beneath is too strong. The shape rises again—a fin slicing through the water, the unmistakable predator locking onto its prey.
