“Once I really got into quarantine, I had time to further explore this topic. Each piece varies by how long it takes but is usually 7-10 hours total. I would say the hardest piece was Dory just because she was the first in the series and I was still Thinking about my thinking so there was a lot of delay in what I was doing,” he said.
The cool thing is that she filmed herself doing the drawings – you can check out the videos on her TikTok.
Isabel told Bored Panda that Disney has been “very influential” with her art and that she would love to revisit the Disney Animal series for inspiration. “I wanted to do some OG Disney characters like Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck! I think this would be a fun challenge for me…so this could be my next!” She gave us a sneak peek into her future plans.
Bored Panda also spoke to Isabel about her as an artist. We wanted to know if she’s always wanted to be one and if she has any great tips for aspiring artists looking to her.
“I’ve always wanted to be an artist! Since I can remember, I’ve been drawing all the time,” she said.
“One tip I would give to aspiring artists is to keep practicing. I have been working professionally as a freelance artist for 3 years now and I am still learning and improving my skills every day,” she suggested that artists keep an open mind and continue to hone their skills day in and day out.
“Learning never stops!” She added.
