His comics are everywhere, and we don’t go a day without seeing his work on our social networks. Of course, we’re talking about Adam Ellis, the beloved cartoonist.
Formerly a member of the BuzzFeed team, Adam went freelance in 2018 to focus solely on his own career as a digital illustrator. His funny comics cover just about every subject known to man, and we can all relate to his observations on current social issues.

Despite his widespread fame, the digital cartoonist’s work isn’t for everyone. Some of Adam’s fans were dissatisfied with his creative method and style, and he became embroiled in a “controversy.” Some internet users chastised Adam for copying and pasting elements from his previous comics when creating his latest ones.
He’s been accused of everything from flat characters to “low effort” art to creating incomprehensible jokes. Despite this, Adam continues to draw, indifferent to the criticism. After all, once you hit the heights that Adam has, there will almost certainly be a slew of them, just as there will be a slew of adoring fans cheering you on from the stands.
